Mitchell Hurwitz, the creator of Arrested Development, confirmed that a new season of the series and a movie is coming! This was filmed at the Festival of New York, where the cast all had a job first.

@shahsjournal there are a few meanings to the title 1) the owner of a construction and development company is arrested (as u mention) 2) many of the characters are immature or selfish, showing their development as adults is stopped (‘arrested’) and 3) a contract is stalled in the show (22 houses to 18), which is another use of the title phrase, to describe some project that is frozen or stalled (number 3 here a little more of a stretch) *shrug
can someone please explain why it’s called arrested development? i don’t understand the meaning of the title. how is it related to the series? there is only 1 guy who gets arrested? (aside from his twin brother, the magician and the never nude who are jailed temporarily)

There has never been anything on television that has made me laugh as much as Arrested Development since Soap, but i was a really young kid then. A.D. i long for your return my old friend.

Arrested Development will never be anywhere close to Whitney, one of the most revolutionary television shows of its time.
Arrested development is way better than community. By a landslide. Arrested has a better cast and the writing is way more consistent than community as well. Community is Arrested Development for dumb people.
